Fantastic work from the start. Stef at Chobble has always been really helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to websites and SEO. They handled my website migration and hosting smoothly, and the site is really easy to manage and update.
Whenever I've needed an update or change, Chobble has been very quick to get it implemented, which is a huge benefit. The SEO work has also been excellent, and I've been really pleased with the service throughout.

Brilliant work, brilliant handover — exactly what you want from a web developer
We can't recommend Stefan at Chobble highly enough. He built our website using the Chobble template and the entire experience, from first conversation through to handover, has been outstanding.
From the start, Stefan took the time to understand what we actually needed rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all solution. He was clear about what was possible, realistic about timelines, and honest about the best way to get there. The Chobble template itself is a brilliant foundation — fast, clean, lightweight, and built on solid principles rather than bloated with unnecessary plugins or tracking. The end result is a website we're genuinely proud of: it looks great, loads almost instantly, and just works.
What's set Stefan apart, though, is what happened after launch. He set everything up so that it was genuinely easy for us to take over and expand ourselves. The structure is logical, the documentation is clear, and editing or adding new content doesn't require us to go running back to a developer every time we want to change a sentence or add a page. That kind of thoughtful handover is rare — most agencies leave you locked in and dependent. Stefan did the opposite, and it's saved us a huge amount of time and money since.
Communication throughout was excellent. Quick to respond, patient with our questions, and never any sense of being upsold or rushed. Stefan clearly cares about doing the job properly, and it shows in every detail.
If you're considering working with Chobble, do it. Five stars, no hesitation.
Working with Chobble has been a dream! I was really daunted by the prospect of building a new website with a developer - having not much experience myself I was concerned I’d feel separated from the process which would have been difficult as my business is so close to my heart. I needn’t have worried at all because I felt completely involved in every step of the way! All of the code is open source which means you have full access and can get involved in editing from your side (if you like). I loved that Chobble provides the option of a simpler way for you to edit your site too (so it’s not all html) which I found to be a lot less clunky than other well known website platforms I’ve tried in the past. Anything I was stuck with, Stefan was always there to help and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. Stefan also gave me great advice on setting up a new domain, email list provider and more. I really appreciated the Chobble Patreon too which comes with a wealth of wisdom and tips for how to get the best out of your website. Finally Chobble offers a 50% discount for vegans, charities, artists and musicians which makes this incredible value for money and it’s nice to know you’re working with an ethical business too! I am so happy with my new website, thank you!!
Have known Stefan for about 10 years when I signed up to a large web developer he worked for, who hosted websites in the industry I was in. When Stef left this company, it was very noticeable. He is the goat! There isn’t anything website related, Google related, hosting related, email related, seo related that he doesn’t know! When I found out he was doing his own thing, I jumped ship straight away and had him rebuild me a brand new website from scratch - exactly to my liking. There was nothing he couldn’t do. I wasn’t restricted to certain designs, layouts or templates. It was a 100% custom build with his input, knowledge and recommendations along the way. There isn’t anything he doesn’t know or can’t do. My website was built pretty quick and tweaks done before it went live. Stefan has been responsive and provided lots of guidance for all sorts of issues I’ve had (including my iPhone settings when sorting the emails on my phone). The handover and support has been brilliant. Stefan knows his stuff. I honestly couldn’t recommend him enough.

I've known Stefan for the last 7 years. He's genius for ranking well SEO work. He knows everything about ranking well on different platforms due to my old business. Stefan knows his stuff with SEO and websites and gives great advice. I only joined 6 days ago and with the advice I've been given one of my websites went from 7th to 2nd within 5 days, really is great advice with no messing about. The price for the knowledge is great. Why pay £100's or £1000s of pounds when you can learn to do it yourself?

As well as building websites, I make Chobble Tickets, an open source ticketing platform for events. The reviews below are from people who use it to sell tickets for their events, so they're about the ticketing platform.
The nice thing with Chobble Tickets is you don't really need to fight with it to get started. It works well pretty much out of the box with very little setup, whilst still being, at its heart, developer orientated.
I dropped it into a static site without much hassle and had proper ticketing functionality without having to reinvent the wheel.
Stefan's always open to feedback, and future development is driven by the people using it, rather than just disappearing into a roadmap somewhere.
If you've got a project that needs ticketing, I'd definitely give it a go. It's easy to get started, plenty of features in it if you want to dig deeper, and there's not anything to lose by giving it a go.

The user journey is incredibly slick, reassuring, easy and fast - you get them from thinking about it to having gone through and done it within moments.
It honestly has all the settings and functionality that comes from a matured system - but it's just getting started!
It's super quick and efficient, plus it also means that the code is unique to the user - so you can't have someone share a screenshot of the QR code and scam free tickets.
You can have as many people as you want checking people into the event and busting those queues without stupid excel lists and print outs.
Webhooks allow you to set up connections and integrate with other systems. The system is open source, it promotes integration to other platforms and software, they're open to collaboration and will share development and it has sooo much potential.
The developer at Chobble is happy to integrate with other platforms and is collaborative. I've personally worked with them on a few different projects and they are very big on interoperability - The ability for systems to exchange data and work with eachother freely and securely.
Most stay and plays are somewhere between £1–£4 a ticket. If you add a ticket fee of £1 to it, then in some cases you're literally double the cost to the user - and if they are happy to pay that, then why should it go to the ticket platform? It's better off in your pocket.
From start to finish the first set-up took 20 minutes (including setting up Stripe), but then I made 3 more tickets for the event that took under a minute each time.
Eventbrite takes £275 per event, but Chobble is £87.50. Sure, I have to pay £50 a year for Chobble, but that cost is absorbed in less than the first event. It's literally paying for itself on the first event and still saving nearly £100.

I used Chobble tickets for an event we held for the British Bourbon Society. Previously, we had always used Eventbrite which takes quite a large portion of the ticket sales as fees. Chobble tickets is very easy to use and takes no cut (even though Stripe takes a very small amount). It's also much better for refunds as Eventbrite doesn't refund the booking fee. We will definitely be using Chobble for our future events and I recommend it for anyone putting paid ticketed events on.

Stefan has worked wonders for our business offering his new ticketing system. Previously we had used other software which would take a large percentage out of our tickets sold along with fees for using their system. Now we are with Chobble all our ticket sales are now ours and the small annual fee is fantastic for the service we received.
Stefan is always on hand to guide you through setups and even when technical problems arise without our knowing he is in the background fixing them already. Highly recommend Stefan and his team. If you run events and sell tickets then you won't be disappointed with Chobble.
